Robert Behrens,
CCIM, TRC served as the 2004 president of the CCIM Institute internationally. Behrens was the founding Director of RE/MAX International's
Commercial/Investment Division, where he worked for more than 14 years before forming his own company, Behrens & Associates.
He rejoined RE/MAX in 2002 as President and Managing Broker of RE/MAX Commercial Alliance in Denver, CO. Behrens'
practice currently is involved wth global commercial/investment opportunities as a Broker Associate with RE/MAX Commercial
Alliance and financial intermediary.
During the last five years of Behrens’ previous tenure with RE/MAX International, the Commercial/Investment Division
added approximately 1,700 full-time commercial real estate practitioners globally and closed more than $4 billion in commercial
properties a year. In addition, Behrens built numerous strategic alliances and secured numerous corporate accounts. He served as treasurer of the
Denver Metropolitan Commercial Association of Realtors in its inaugural year, and has been active nationally with the National
Association of Realtors. He has served on numerous committees of the CCIM Institute and was the Colorado/Wyoming CCIM Chapter
president in 1995. He earned the CCIM designation in 1992. Behrens became a Certified Relocation Professional
Designee in 1993. In 2004, The International Real Estate Finance Center of the University of International Business and Economics
in Beijing, China named Behrens a visiting professor. He currently is a candidate for a Masters in Real Estate at Denver
University. Behrens added the Transnational Referral System Certification with the International Consortium of Real Estate
Associations in 2008. Behrens received the prestigious RE/MAX International Distinguished Service Award in 2005.
Behrens is a board member
of the Finance Department at Metro State College in Denver and the Rocky Mountain ALS Association. Behrens is an instrument
rated multi-engine aircraft pilot, a competitive sporting clays shooter, an avid golfer and touring motorcyclist.
